The 2015 Reading Challenge!

Hey hey, out there!

Personally, I am an avid reader. This of course is a prerequisite if you yourself enjoy writing and yet the book as a medium always comes off badly in my case. Above all, I read on vacation, depending on the stay I manage three to six books in one go. The rest of the year turns out rather poor. Whether it is because I can not find the time, I have no desire to, I'm mean again or just forget to.
I don't care for New Year's resolutions, but shortly before 2015 I stumbled upon a list which made me halt. The "2015 Reading Challenge". This Challenge is a list that holds 53 book tasks which you should discharge over the coming year. I think that's a great idea. However, I have it shortened, 53 books are just not manageable for me (in particular, because one task is to read a book with over 500 pages).
Therefore, my list contains 21 books plus some more if I'll actually manage to finish.

My tasks are following (planned books in brackets):

Read   1. a book with more than 500 pages (The Circle, Dave Eggers)
           2. a book that became a movie (The Maze Runner, James Dashner)
           3. a book published this year (???)
           4. a book written by someone under 30 (Verficktes Herz, Nora Gantenbrink)
           5. a book with non-human characters (???)
           6. a mystery or a thriller (Miss Smilla's Feeling For Snow, Peter Hoeg)
           7. a book from an author you love that you haven't read yet (Silmarillion, J.R.R. Tolkien)
           8. a book that won a Pulitzer Prize (The Old Man And The Sea, Ernest Hemingway)
           9. a book your mom loves (Die Wanderhure, Iny Lorentz)
           10. a book based entirely on its cover (???)
           11. a book you can finish in a day (???)
           12. a book set somewhere you've always wanted to visit (1Q84, Haruki Murakami)
           13. a book that came out the year you were born (???)
           14. a book from your childhood (Heidi, Johanna Spyri)
           15. a book with a love triangle (???)
           16. a book with a color in the title (The Color Purple, Alice Walker)
           17. a book set during christmas (???)
           18. a book written by an author with your same initials (???)
           19. a book based or turned into a TV show (???)
           20. a book of short stories (???)
           21. a book at the bottom of your to-read list (Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Douglas   Adams)

A prerequisite is that I have not read any of these books before (except for No. 14) and that in each category another book is read. For most tasks, I have no idea. You may, however, recommend some books in the comments!
Because I'll read this year a lot, I will introduce a new category to my blog where I vent my personal book review.
So happy reading everyone!

Have a nice time, wherever you are!
xoxo

Life of Light: Visiting my dear friends

Hey hey, out there!

Last Thursday up to Sunday I have been at the house of my beloved friend Kyo and her wonderful girlfriend Reita. Both live far away from me, so I unfortunately had to take on a little more further way. Sadly, both my first and my second train of my three rail connections were late, so I have been late a total of 2 hours when I reached their place.
But that was long forgotten when I was greeted effusively by both.
I made it myself a bit cosy in their study and Reita cooked delicious pasta with bacon. In the end of the day we relaxed on the couch while watching "Germanys Next Topmodel" (Exceptionally, I watched it with them, although I do not really like the format).

The next day, Kyo and I wanted to go to Regensburg to let art wash over us a little. Unfortunately, both time and money shortages put us a spoke in our wheel. That's why we stayed home and Kyo has fulfilled my wish to make me up like a Gyaru. She herself is a wonderful Gyaru. She has been doing this a long time and masters the techniques to perfection.
So I was quite excited when I saw the result.

After a small shoot she did me my hair solid one and a half hours! But then the look was perfect, even though it was already evening.

I have to say that I never looked as sweet as I did on these photographs! However, not even my mother would recognize me ...

Saturday we three went together to Regensburg. We looked at the beautiful medieval city, bought
things in a great-equipped asian market and then went to all-you-can-eat sushi for 10 Euro. Despite the price, the food was really good and the place is small, cute, and especially the food is very fresh.

Finally, we went to a cozy bar called "Mood", which name says it all, because everything was involved in blue light, along with atmospheric music and a bit living room atmosphere. The cocktails were very good, and I drunk for the first time a "Vodka Almdudler", which I really can just recommend!

After a long and pleasant evening we went home.
Unfortunately I had to head back on sunday, but Reita was so sweet and gave me a "Vesper" (Mhhm, delicious Bavarian cream cheese "Obatzda"). And after a very calm and punctual trip I was back home.

That's all for now. I had a perfect vacation and want to thank my two friends for the nice time.

Have a nice time, wherever you are!
